1st Family Vacation Day 2

Our day started off very pleasant.  We decided to head out to the beach again after breakfast and a morning nap.

It was a long trek to the water, especially carrying 2 chairs, an umbrella, a beach bag full of stuff, and the stroller with Mason in it:)

At first, Mason was unsure of the beach.  He seemed to like it.

He enjoyed the water, but definitely not the sand.

Even though it was cold, he still seemed pretty happy.

After this picture is when everything went bad.  My little guy was miserable and wanted nothing to do with the beach!  Even when we were changing him on a towel, he was "that kid" screaming and crying and making a scene.  After no more than 30 minutes, we packed up all of our things, and made the trek back to our hotel.

Mommy and Daddy definitely needed a drink after that excursion:)  We ate lunch at this amazing restaurant, Miguel's.  Marc and I have both been very happy with all of the food on Coronado.

Mason was A LOT happier being away from the ocean:)

After another nap and dinner, we decided to head over to Sea World to watch a Shamu show.

Mason enjoyed everything else, but the whales:)

They are absolutely beautiful!!!

Since Mason was still in a good mood, we decided to explore the park, even though we are planning a full day later in our vacation.  Our first stop was the shark encounter.  Mason was flirting with the lady that was giving us information about sharks:)

Ahh!!!!  We also got to see seals, penguins, beluga whales, sea lions, sea turtles, a polar bear, and more in the short time that we were there.

Mason is a lot happier when we are not swimming at the beach!  On the way home from Sea World, Marc and I were able to see the Sea World fireworks from the Coronado Bridge.  This day definitely turned out to be amazing!!!
