Coronado Vacation Day 3

So we started off our morning with Dylan having a bloody nose.  I have never experienced that before so it was quite scary waking up with blood on the sheets (yes I had to sleep with Dylan again last night).  I was worried it was going to be another rough vacation day and was ready to pack up early and go home.  After we cleaned up Dylan, he went back to bed.  When everyone woke up at 8:30, we decided to put our troubles behind us and stay positive.  It worked!!!!   We had our first, fun day of vacation.  The kids were fabulous at breakfast getting all kinds of great attention from everyone they came in to contact with.  We received so many compliments on our adorable boys. This was way different than the "oh poor parents" stares we have been getting.  We then walked over to a park on the island where the kids ran and played and were happy the entire time.  After that, everyone took a long nap.  Then we ate a late lunch, actually super early dinner, at our favorite Mexican food restaurant.  From there we went back to the beach.  The twins still do not like it, but Mason got to enjoy the water.  Marc took Mason for an impromptu dip in the ocean while I took the twins back to the hotel for bath time.  We ended our relaxing day with some Moo Time ice cream.  It was well worth the wait. The kids were fever free and full of smiles.  I am now looking forward to our day at the San Diego Zoo tomorrow!

The boys woke up silly and eating legos.  It is a lot better than crying!

So adorable during breakfast.

Mason was having so much fun running after the birds.

 I'm FREE!!!!!

 Dylan get back here NOW!
It is confirmed, he still does not like the beach.

Mason told me that his favorite part of our vacation is the ocean.

I had quality time with the twinkies while Mason and Daddy were at the beach.
This picture cracks me up!  Noah totally looks like he got caught doing something bad.

Noah was exhausted and passed out during our ice cream excursion.
Mason was in junk food heaven.  Oh well, it is vacation after all!
 My boys love racing.

Coronado Vacation Day 2

I was hoping to have some great things to share today, but unfortunately our second day of vacation was worse than the first day.  Dylan was up all night (running around the hotel room at 4:15AM) and screamed and cried when I put him in his crib.  Noah is teething very badly so he is constantly drooling and crying.  At breakfast, the twins were very cranky and upset.  Mason was our perfect little guy and did not fuss at all.  Considering all that has been going on, he has been such a great kid! We met some great people from Phoenix who had 3 older teenagers.  They explained that this time flies by so quickly and one day we will miss this chaos.  At this time, I am not so sure of that!

After breakfast, I took the twins for a nap and at this point, Dylan had a fever.  Marc took Mason swimming at the hotel pool to have a little fun.  Dylan would only nap on me, and that did not even last long.  Against our better judgment, we went and met friends of mine from work at the Del Coronado.  Poor Dylan needed to be held and cuddled the entire time.  He was not happy.  After a short walk around the Del, we went back to our hotel to relax.

Dylan and Noah seemed to have a change in attitude and started feeling better later in the afternoon. All Mason wanted to do was make sand castles at the beach.  The twins seemed better, so we packed everyone up and headed to the beach.  This is the first time the twins were on the beach.  Mason was miserable his first time at the beach when he was a baby, and the twins followed this trend.  They screamed and cried the second we put them in the sand.  As long as we carried the boys, then they were fine.  They loved watching the seagulls and this little crab that was crawling on the sand.  Our blissful moment ended abruptly when we started heading back to the hotel.  The twins screamed the entire walk back to our hotel room.  They made quite the scene and I am sure we were being judged by many.

Back at the hotel room, the craziness continued.  Dylan and Noah screamed and cried nonstop.  The final straw that made me break down was when Noah peed on the floor two seconds after removing his diaper to get him in the bath.  Ugh!  Maybe we should have stayed home.

I am forever the optimist and always trying to find the positive, so I am praying for a better day tomorrow, but Dylan just woke up crying:( At least we haven't had time to stress about our house.

This toy entertained the boys so Marc and I could eat.

One of the very few smiles we got from Dylan today.

Check out the drool on Noah's shirt!  Poor kid is having a rough time with teething.

This is how we roll to the beach.
The babies were all smiles on the way there.  That all changed once we got to the sand.

Noah let me put him down for a second, but then immediately wanted "uppa".  And yes, that is drool on his shirt.

Mason was very happy and content playing in the sand.

4th Annual Coronado Vacation

This week has been very difficult for the Boileau family.  The entire downstairs of our house flooded due to a crack in the toilet tank that occurred in the middle of the night.  We had about 2 inches of water fill up the bathroom, laundry room, family room, kitchen, dining room, living room, and the foyer.  Water was spilling out the front door!  There was so much damage that the restoration guys had to rip up flooring, take out the carpet, tear off baseboards, and drill holes in the dry wall.  Our house was a construction site and we had to relocate our family.  At first, we were going to a hotel room.  How were Marc and I going to survive with 3 toddlers and a dog in a small room for 3 weeks?!?  Thankfully, our insurance company agreed to rent us a house instead.  It is a gorgeous ranch style (no stress with stairs) home with 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms.  Mason keeps saying he loves our new hotel house.  Needless to say this was a very stressful week and our annual Coronado vacation was just a few days away.  We contemplated back and forth about going and finally decided that we needed this time to forget our horrendous week and just enjoy the family.

We packed up our entire house and headed out on the 6 hour drive to California.  Dylan is not a fan of being in the car and made it very clear that he was not happy.  Noah was good for the first few hours, but then he started in as well with the whining and crying.  (Maybe we should have done a staycation?)  Mason, as always, was perfect in the car.  The twins slept a total of 20 minutes the entire drive, so they were quite cranky and exhausted by the time we arrived.  After a quick dinner, the twins fell asleep in the stroller as Mason and I walked down to the beach.  Then I took the twins to bed and Marc and Mason went for Moo Time ice cream.  I hope these boys sleep really great tonight so we can have a fun day tomorrow.

As long as he had my phone, he was happy!

Mason was very into the movie he was watching.

We had about 10 minutes of peace and quiet.

They love wearing their sunglasses and look great in them!

On our way to dinner.

The only time they were all behaving during dinner.

Mason and Daddy in front of the Del Coronado.

Very tired twins!

Mason loved running through the sand.

Me and my big boy!

Moo!
