A Day at the Park

We spent our Saturday at Chaparral Park.  The weather in March is usually perfect for outdoor activities, but not this day.  It reached almost 100 degrees!  We couldn't believe how hot it was, but that didn't stop us from having fun.  Here are a few pictures from our adventure.

These boys are my world!

Noah did this pose all on his own.  He looks so grown up here!

Boys will be boys!

The boys had their very first ice cream truck experience.

Adults Only Weekend

Back in December, Marc and I along with Jen and Mike went to San Antonio, Texas.  Jen and I have an office there and we visited it often throughout the year, so we decided to attend their Christmas Party.  Even though it was gray, gloomy, and rainy the entire time, we still made the best of it and had a great adult's only weekend.  We ate delicious food, walked along the Riverwalk, went to a tamale festival, toured the Alamo, went to a comedy show, and even checked out some museums.  Thanks Jaime for watching the boys!

The party was held at an antique car museum.  They also had random life size cutouts around the museum.

The centerpieces were polaroid cameras.  We had too much fun taking pictures everywhere!

The boys loved this picture because this Jeep looks like Sarge from the movie Cars.

There were lots of museums across from the Alamo.  This was the Guinness World Book of Records museum.  Jen and I look extra small standing in front of the tallest man (wax figure) in the world!

Another favorite picture for the kiddos!

This picture cracks me up!

Touring the Alamo was not the most fun in the rain, but I did learn a lot about it.  Unfortunately the weather put a damper on our Riverwalk experience (pun intended), but at least Marc still got to see it.  It was really magical during this time of year because there were Christmas lights everywhere.  We will have to go back again when the weather is better!

This was from the balcony of our hotel.  The clouds completely covered the top half of the building.  We were happy to see sunshine when we landed in Phoenix!

2016 Bearizona Trip

Last November we took our first trip up to Bearizona in Williams.  We walked around and saw lots of animals and then hopped in the car and drove through an area where the animals roam free.  We all enjoyed the Birds of Prey, show especially when the owl nearly flew into  Marc's head.  The boys had a lot of fun.  This was a great day!

Christmas in March?

Life has just gotten the best of me which is the reason for neglecting this blog.  My New Year's resolution was to post at least four segments a month.  Seeing as though the year isn't over yet, I still have time to make good on that resolution.  These next few entries will include some blasts from 2016 past, starting with Christmas!  These pictures include our trip to the Polar Express, Christmas Eve and Christmas morning.

Our annual tradition (since I was a little girl) of making cookies with Momma.

The boys and I made our very first gingerbread house.  I helped with the details, but they designed the house.

This is another tradition of ours that the kids love.  Every year since the twins were born, we watch Santa fly in on a helicopter at the Deer Valley Airport.  The kids enjoy watching Santa wave at them from the sky.

 All aboard the Polar Express!

My favorite tradition is decorating our Christmas tree.

Christmas Eve dinner is my absolute favorite!  These are just some of the appetizers, and the picture doesn't do it justice, but imagine shellfish and pasta for days.  YUM!

 Penny loves opening presents too!

We have so many traditions at Christmas and I love that the boys are now old enough to enjoy every one of them.  We are very blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful family and friends!
