Final Evening in Coronado

As soon we got back from the zoo, we quickly changed into bathing suits and headed to the beach.  The boys wanted one last swim in the waves at Coronado.  After our showers, we went to our favorite place for pizza, Village Pizza, and then over to the Del for some freeze tag.  It was a perfect way to end our stay on this amazing island.  Our next stop is Carlsbad to spend two days in Legoland!

This kid had a blast on this trip!

You're it!

Mason is obsessed with this dance move called flossing.  Any time we are standing still anywhere, you can find Mason doing this.  Sabine added the music for effect.

Even though Mason is always dancing, he chose not to dance when there was actual music and a stage.  Noah could not pass up the opportunity to shake his groove thang!  He was also excited because they were playing "Penny's song".  Ha!

San Diego Zoo Day #6

For our last full day in Coronado, we decided to spend our time at the San Diego Zoo with some friends and the evening at the beach.  It was really great catching up with Paul and Sabine and we all had a blast at the zoo, even though it was the hottest day ever!  The San Diego Zoo is massive and there is so much to see.  We took a bus ride around the entire zoo and walked for hours, and we still did not see everything this place has to offer.

So grateful for my friendship with Paul!

The boys were very excited about seeing one of Santa's reindeers!

Coronado Day #5

We really just wanted to focus on as much beach time as possible, and our fifth day of vacation did not disappoint!  We went to our regular beach across the street and spent the entire day there.  The weather was perfect and so was our time together.  We got back to the hotel in the early evening because this reptile guy, what the hotel called him, was there showing off his pets.  The boys were very excited about this.  They each got to hold a tarantula!  We were also introduced to a legless lizard, a HUGE frog, some snakes, and these colorful beetles.   That beetles kind of freaked me out.  We ended the eveing with Moo Time, our favorite ice cream place.

The bond these two have is incredible!  They can be the best of friends, fight like no other, but will fiercely protect one another!  These pictures, there were more of them, were taken over a span of 2 minutes!  So many reactions in such a short time!
This guy is going to go pro some day!

Coronado Day #4

Today we decided to hop in the car and drive a few miles down the road to Silver Strand State Beach. I heard it was a beautiful beach with lots of sea shells, and that is exactly what we found.  The boys found so many shells and lots of sand dollars.  We even found a live sand dollar, which I didn't realize they were even ever once alive.  After the beach, we went to my favorite seafood restaurant, Brigantine, for dinner.  Then we headed to the Del where we took pictures on the beach, watched the sunset, and played freeze tag in the grassy area at the hotel overlooking the ocean.  (We played tag and made lots of friends every night at the Del.)  Check out two videos of us playing on the beach in the next post. This was another magical vacation day!

Boogie boarding brothers!

Standing out in front of the Glorietta Bay.

Jumping off the fountain, but Noah was having none of that.

Our favorite walk to the beach.

The boys were mesmerized by the military airplanes and helicoptors that periodically flew over the beach.

My little loves!

We need to work on this jumping at the same time thing.

My most favorite people in one of my most favorite places!

No more pictures!

The work of Mason Boileau again!
Time for bed after a long day!  We LOVE this hotel room and request it every year.  There are 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms.  Dylan gets stuck sleeping alone because he kicks and rolls around like crazy.  One night we found him curled up in a ball by the doorway completely passed out!
