Birthday at the Spa

Today was the most perfect day!  Thanks to my best girls, Brooklyn, Rosanna, Jessica, and Amelia, we all spent the day at the Joya Spa at the Montelucia Resort.  Our day consisted of working out, massages, hanging by the pool, and enjoying all of the amenities.   I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend this day.  When I got home, Marc surprised me with a fabulous dinner that he prepared and a special date night set for next weekend for dinner and a show, The 50 Shades of Grey Parody.  My day ended with my 2 favorite boys and Penny cuddling on the couch.  How did I ever get so fortunate to have such an amazing life?!  XOXOXO

This is the way to celebrate a birthday!  Love my girls!!!

Gorgeous Ladies (and Baby)

I think Rosanna enjoyed her first time at the spa!  None of us wanted to leave:)

Birthday Weekend Extravaganza

I knew that I was going to have a fabulous birthday because Brooklyn flew into town this weekend.  After work on Friday, Mason and I drove down to Old Town Scottsdale to hang out with Brooklyn.  We walked around for a bit before we went all the way up North to Harold's in Cave Creek to have dinner with my family.  My Aunt Ann and Uncle Babe (it was his birthday too:) flew in from NY and we wanted them to really feel like they were out West.  Cave Creek is the perfect place for that:)  After dinner, we walked over to Buffalo Chip to watch the bull riders.  They have live bull riding every Friday evening and it is always a good time.  Saturday we spent celebrating Skye's 5th birthday at Cracker Jax.  Mason loved running around this place, especially in the sand volleyball courts.  Saturday night was spent with my best girls!  Even though we all have busy lives, it is so great to slow down and catch up.  Thank you girls for a fun night!  On Sunday, Mason, Penny, Marc and I went to another park close to the house.  Mason always enjoys the park, but this time he went down the slide all by himself.  My little boy is growing up so fast.  Sunday evening, Brooke and I went to the movies (that happens so rarely these days:) to see a sappy, romantic chick flick.  As usual, I cried:)  I am extremely fortunate to have amazing people in my life and I couldn't be happier!  Thank you to everyone for making me feel so special!

Austin is turning into an amazing man!  I remember when he was Mason's age, and now he is going to be 17!

An Afternoon at the Park

On Saturday, Mason and I walked over to our neighborhood park and enjoyed the beautiful weather.  Mason absolutely loves being outdoors and always enjoys the park.  Unfortunately, after our park adventure, Mason came down with 102.4 fever and was really sick for 4 days.  Having a sick child is the worst:(  Once he is feeling better, we will definitely resume our fun at the park:)

Mason loves to swing really high.  Hopefully this means he will like roller coasters like Mommy and Daddy:)

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Check me out!

Taking a break from fun to chug to some water.

Mommy's Little Climber

Mason has an obsession with picking up rocks and dropping them on the ground.  He likes to repeat this action over and over again.  It must be a boy thing:)  LOL!

XOXOXO

I know that this day is just like every other day, but today I felt very special.  I am extremely blessed to have the most amazing people in my life!  It was such a nice surprise to wake up this morning to find gorgeous red roses and my favorite chocolates (heart-shaped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups) in my bathroom.  There were also 2 beautiful cards.  One was written from Mason and Penny (in their handwriting:) and the other was from my amazing, caring, loving husband.  When I got to my classroom, I was bombarded with more sweet surprises from my students.  Tears started rolling down my cheek when one of my students, who I was convinced hated me, brought me a chocolate rose and gave me a big hug.  Another student even made cards and treats for Mason and Marc.  I am very fortunate to have such a cool group of kiddos this year! I am looking forward to this evening for our Valentine's Day tradition.  Marc, Mason, and I will order in dinner, eat delicious dessert, and have some important quality family time:)  Happy Valentine's Day!!!

On Friday night, Mason's BFF Nicholas came over to hang out and eat pizza.  It was great catching up with the Olea family.  We always have a good time when we all get together:)

Pictures from the Week

My sweet little boy getting ready for bed.
But first, snuggles with Penny:)

Maybe we should get Mason his own crate!  LOL:)

"Set me free Mason!"

Penny and her new Uncle Moses!  My dad got the sweetest little puppy.  Penny looks like a Great Dane compared to him!

These two are going to be BFF!

Mason instantly fell in love with the little guy as well.

Even Marc couldn't resist his cuteness:)

Always full of smiles:)

I just love him sooooooo much:)

Mason looks like he is planning something mischievous.

My little man enjoys lounging in his comfy chair with his precious sidekick behind him:)
